Your auditor is going to ask about AI. Do you know what you’ll say?

It doesn’t matter whether your team has automated half the close or hasn’t touched AI yet. This audit season, AI will be a topic of discussion.

Maybe leadership is pushing you to adopt, and you don’t want to blow up your control matrix. Maybe someone on your team is already using an AI tool on a personal account. Either way, January is the wrong time to find out.

Join us as we sit down with Aaron Thompson, Assurance Advisory Partner at EY, and Lucia Wind, COSO board chair, to discuss how AI in your accounting processes will impact the audit... We’ll dig into governance, the current guidance, and how to prepare before year-end. The good news: you don’t need dozens of new controls. You need the right few, along with a clean audit trail.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  1. A simple scoping test. The questions you should ask yourself to decide whether your AI is in audit scope
  2. The four risks auditors look at. Plus what to document for each, so you’re ready to go.
  3. A starting point you don’t have to build. How COSO’s free GenAI guidance maps AI capabilities to risks and minimum controls
  4. A year-end timeline. How often to meet your auditor, and why to bring them in before go-live

You’ll leave knowing what your auditor will ask, what to have documented, and what to do between now and year-end.
